Product By Thickness
Thickness, to some extent, will affect the fire extinguishing effect. My factory produced 0.43mm, 0.45mm and 0.8mm. 0.43mm usually is the regular thickness and 0.45mm used a different fiberglass fabric as the base. However, 0.8mm chooses to use silicone coated fiberglass and the fabric is different from the other two.
0.43mm fire blanket used the regular fiberglass fabric(3732), which can quality under most emergencies. It has no coating material and has the heat resistance of 550℃.
0.45mm Fire Blanket0.45mm fire blanket used the same fiberglass fabric as 0.43mm, but was coated with silicone. By doing this, it will resolve itchy issue. Meanwhile, it will increase extinguishing performance.
0.80mm Fire Blanket0.80mm fire blanket was made of another thicker fiberglass fabric, which was called 3784. Althought its heat resistance is the same as the others, it can stand longer before it breaks apart.
Product By Weight
Weight is one specification of fire blanket when discussing the fabric. It means the weight of every 1 square meter of fabric. For diameter of fiberglass, the higher weight means higher density and better extinguishing
430g/m2 fire blanket was made of a regular weight of fiberglass fabric(3732). However, it is the most cost effective and was picked by most consumers.
